In 1990, he moved to Hamburg to open Enskilda’s German office before conducting an MBO in 1994, together with Hans Hermann Münchmeyer, to found Münchmeyer GmbH Corporate Finance. Clare Muir studied Biochemistry at Lady Margret Hall, Oxford University, before joining Shell International to complete her Management Accountancy qualification (CIMA, now GCMA). After several years, Clare moved to Japan for 4 years, where she learnt Japanese for a year before joining the Jardine Group. On her return to London, Clare worked for Shell Gas and then in private practice before joining our London office in 2010.

Kalle Uljas studied at the Helsinki School of Economics and has a Master’s degree in Finance. He started his career with Process Vision, a Finnish software company providing solutions for the deregulated energy markets. He then moved to Handelsbanken Markets, where he was responsible for equity research on the listed Finnish capital goods companies. Kalle joined us in 2003 and became a Partner in 2011.

Jussi Vuorinen graduated from the Helsinki School of Economics in 2000 majoring in Finance. He was also an exchange student at the London School of Economics. During and after his studies, Jussi spent four years at Nordea Corporate Finance, based in Helsinki and London. He then worked at the local management consulting company August Associates in Helsinki, before joining us in 2005. Jussi became a Partner in 2012.

MCF advised Landeshauptstadt Kiel during the sale of 51% of Stadtwerke Kiel AG, which provides electricity, gas, water and heating to the residents of the German city Kiel and its surrounding counties. Landeshauptstadt Kiel had previously privatised Stadtwerke Kiel AG and sold the 51% stake to TXU Europe Group plc which subsequently went into insolvency and its stake was sold by the insolvency administrator to MVV Energie AG.

Floris Jansen holds a Master of Science degree in Corporate Finance & Banking from the Duisenberg School of Finance in Amsterdam. Before joining our London office in March 2012, he worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in Amsterdam. Floris is Dutch.

MCF advised Evotec AG, a leader in the discovery of small molecule drugs, on the sale of Evotec Technologies GmbH, a worldwide leading provider of high-end cell handling, detection and screening devices and systems used for automated cell biology, to PerkinElmer Inc.
MCF advised Cramo Plc on a structured sales process resulting in the sale of its modular space production and customised modular space rental business to MB Funds.

In 2003, Ian founded our UK subsidiary and has subsequently been a Partner and in charge of our London office.

Richard Markus is a Senior Adviser to MCF Corporate Finance and an active Board Member of Wasserkraft Oberland GmbH. Stefan Wittek is Senior Adviser at MCF Corporate Finance. He has been with the company for 14 years, thereof 4 years as a Partner, leading the Energy & Renewable business activities. His focus lies on transactions related to the energy sector. Prior to joining MCF in July 2000, Stefan was Head of M&A at VASA Energy, a subsidiary of Vattenfall. Simon Grossmann studied Foreign Trade and International Management in Hamburg and completed various internships, including positions with UniCredit Bank in New York and Munich. He started his professional career within the Investment Banking trainee program at UniCredit, both in London and Munich, and subsequently worked as an Analyst in the M&A department. Simon joined our Hamburg office in 2013.

Richard Maynard studied Modern Languages at Bristol University and is fluent in German. Prior to joining us in 2005, he was at Deloitte in London for 4 years, where he qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA). Richard has worked on numerous sell- and buy-sides for multinationals and private equity across a wide range of sectors, including renewable energy and capital goods. He has strong expertise in the wind energy, bioenergy, solar and energy efficiency segments. Richard became a Partner in 2014.
