MCF advised Oras Group on the acquisition of Gustavsberg and Vatette businesses from Villeroy & Boch
Oras Group, a significant Finnish provider of sanitary fittings, has acquired the Gustavsberg and Vatette businesses from Villeroy & Boch, a publicly listed German manufacturer of sanitary ceramics and taps.
With the deal, Oras Group strengthens its position in Northern Europe and strategically expands into a comprehensive bathroom supplier, with a portfolio ranging from bathroom furniture to faucets.
In this transaction, MCF advised Oras Group and facilitated the deal through its proven ability to successfully execute strategic cross-border transactions.




The Deal
The deal includes both Gustavsberg and Vatette brands and all operations related to them in Northern Europe, including the production plant and warehouse in Sweden. Upon completion, the transaction will see 330 Gustavsberg and Vatette employees join Oras Group.
The transaction is expected to be closed during the third quarter of 2025. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.
The Target
Founded in 1825, Gustavsberg develops bathroom ceramics, taps and furniture for private homes to public environments such as hotels, schools, and hospitals. Gustavsberg products are trusted across Northern Europe for their quality, durability, and timeless aesthetics.
Vatette is a leading brand within installation products for complete tap water systems in Sweden. The brand is known for its flexible solutions, built on traditional technology that has been brought into the future with new innovations.
In 2024, Gustavsberg and Vatette branded net sales were EUR 93m, while Oras Group’s sales totalled EUR 200m.
