MCF advises the shareholders of ALBA Baving in the sale to IK Investment Partners
ALBA Baving Group (“ALBA Baving”), a leading German provider of infrastructure cleaning and maintenance services for the public and private sectors, has been sold to the IK Small Cap II Fund. MCF acted as advisers to ALBA Baving, underscoring its expertise in supporting businesses transition from entrepreneurial to private equity ownership, while ensuring a clear succession for the existing shareholders.
The Deal
This transaction supports ALBA Baving in their ongoing succession planning and will enable the business to expand its geographical footprint, grow its integrated service offering and pursue a clearly defined growth strategy. In the new ownership structure, the sellers, Dr Jörg Baving and Claus Baving, will retain a minority stake in the business and join the Advisory Board.
The acquisition is subject to competition authority approval in Germany and completion is expected to take place in December 2020.

ALBA Baving is a leading German provider of infrastructure cleaning and maintenance services for the public and private sectors. The company’s integrated service offering ranges from municipal and construction site cleaning services, to winter service, green space maintenance as well as advisory and other complementary services. ALBA Baving operates the largest and most modern vehicle fleet in the market and excels through extensive mechanical and digital in-house capabilities.
