MCF advised Lahti Precision Oy in the divestment of its Glass Technology business unit to Zippe Industrieanlagen GmbH
Lahti Precision Oy (“Lahti Precision”), a Finland-based supplier of industrial weighing and dosing systems, as well as complete factories to dry mix suppliers and glass batch plants to glass manufacturers, has sold its Glass Technology business unit to Zippe Industrieanlagen GmbH (“Zippe Industrieanlagen”). MCF acted as financial adviser to Lahti Precision.
The Deal
The divestment of the Glass Technology business unit is in line with Lahti Precision’s strategy to focus on Industrial Weighing and Dry Mix business segments.
German Zippe Industrieanlagen is the global leader in the glass batch plants and cullet handling systems. The new owner will continue the business in Finland under the name Lahti Glass Technology Oy. The parties have agreed that Lahti Precision will complete the existing projects and equipment orders.
The Target
The Glass Technology business unit has been one of Lahti Precision’s three business areas. It offers technology for complete glass batch plants and cullet handling systems. With established blue-chip customer base, the deliveries have been made to all over the world.
