Rita Lei joins MCF’s London team as partner, enhancing MCF’s technology practice

MCF is pleased to announce the expansion of its Partnership in London with the addition of Rita Lei to the team.

Rita will join Ian Henderson, the founder of MCF’s London office, to lead MCF’s technology practice together with Erik Pettersson and Christoph Bregulla. With the addition of Rita, MCF’s technology practice is further strengthened, positioning D.A. Davidson MCF International for continued success having closed 44 transactions in technology in 2022.

With over 50 investment banking professionals, including 15 Partners and Managing Directors, the D.A. Davidson MCF International technology team has deep domain expertise across application software, fintech, infrastructure software, internet and digital media, tech-enabled services, communication and hardware. The transatlantic partnership provides clients with a complete service offering across capital raising, M&A, debt financing, sponsor coverage, and equity research.

Rita is a senior investment banker bringing over 13 years of experience in technology investment banking.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the Sainsbury Laboratory. Prior to joining MCF, Rita was Managing Director at Torch Partners, a leading M&A and private capital markets adviser to the software and technology sectors. She is highly experienced in marketplaces, classifieds, travel, education, as well as human capital management, digital experience, and e-commerce enablement software. Throughout her career, Rita has advised many renowned European technology companies including Zoovu, Lodgify, GoHenry, Bizay, nu3, DaWanda, Emagister, Clustree, Clavis Insight, Teamwork, Friendscout24, Zoopla Property Group, Secret Escapes and Everli, to name a few.

As a Partner at MCF, Rita will focus on M&A and private capital transactions in technology across the UK and Europe. Leveraging her extensive network of investors and strategics in the US, Europe, and Asia, Rita will play a crucial role in driving transactions and delivering shareholder value for her clients.
