MCF advises Varenne Investment on the sale of Quesada Kapitalförvaltning to Wictor Family Office
Quesada Kapitalförvaltning AB (“Quesada”), a Swedish asset management and private banking company based in Stockholm has been acquired by Wictor Family Office (“Wictor Family Office) from Varenne Investment AB (“Varenne Investment”) and other private investors. Partnering together with Wictor Family Office, Quesada will create an attractive platform for both customers and employees, improving the offering while realising revenue and cost synergies. MCF acted as adviser to Varenne Investment and helped facilitate a successful transaction through its proven ability to originate and execute transactions.
The Deal
Quesada was founded in 2000 by Tommy Jacobson and Sune Nilsson and was acquired by EFG Bank in 2006, with MCF advising the owners of Quesada in the transaction. The company was acquired by Varenne Investment together with private investors in 2012. The new owner, Wictor Family Office, will together with Quesada accelerate the development in the combined group by realising synergies and improving the service offering to clients.
The transaction is subject to ownership suitability assessment by the Swedish financial supervisory authority.
The Buyer
Wictor Family Office is a Swedish-based wealth management provider, founded by three entrepreneurial families with the purpose of creating independent solutions to complex financial, legal, and family-related questions. Wictor Family Office serves individuals, institutions, and trusts with e.g. wealth planning, asset management, family governance and succession planning. The company is headquartered in Halmstad, Sweden.
