MCF supports Alma Media on the divestment of its Swedish media business
Alma Talent, part of Alma Media Corporation (“Alma Media”), a leading European media company focusing on digital services and publishing, has signed an agreement to sell its Swedish media business Alma Talent AB (“Alma Talent Sweden”) to New Technology Media Group AB (“New Technology Media Group”). The business to be divested includes the publications Ny Teknik, Lag&Avtal, Arbetarskydd, Personal&Ledarskap and Teknikhistoria. Following the sale of Alma Media’s regional news media business and printing operations in February 2020, this transaction represents MCF’s 2nd successful mandate for Alma Media.

The Deal
Going forward, Alma Media’s key growth areas will be digital marketplaces in Finland and internationally. Alma Talent will continue to operate in the Swedish market by further developing the business of Objektvision.se, a digital marketplace for commercial properties, and to search for new opportunities in the digital B-to-B sector.
With this transaction, the magazine and online media brands under Alma Media Talent Sweden and their employees will be transferred to New Technology Media Group.
