MCF supports Ernst Russ AG in the sale of Assetando to DFH Deutsche Fonds Holding
Ernst Russ AG (“Ernst Russ”), a listed global fund and asset management company primarily active in shipping, real estate and alternative investments, has sold Assetando Real Estate GmbH (“Assetando”), its real estate asset management firm, to DFH Deutsche Fonds Holding GmbH (“DFH”). MCF acted as adviser to Ernst Russ and facilitated the transaction through its proven ability to successfully originate and execute transactions involving listed companies.
The Deal
The transaction is in line with Ernst Russ’s strategy to increase its focus on the shipping segment. Going forward, the group will continue to expand its shipping portfolio within the container, bulker and tanker classes. A key priority in this transaction was to find a new home for Assetando and its employees.
The Target
Assetando is the central real estate unit of asset manager Ernst Russ with managed real estate assets of around EUR 0,9 billion and a total of 29 properties. The company’s services include fund management and fund administration, strategic and operational asset management, property management, letting management, transaction management, technical consulting services, project management for conversions, refurbishments as well as financing consulting.
