MCF supports the owner of Jäger Health Group and Aposphäre in the sale to IQVIA Inc.
DESSIGN GROUP GmbH (“DESSIGN”), a German diversified holding company, has sold its two subsidiaries, Jäger Health Group GmbH (“JHG”), a leading OTC healthcare marketing agency and Aposphäre GmbH (“Aposphäre”), a provider of educational training to pharmacists, to IQVIA Inc. (“IQVIA”), a global supplier of healthcare services. MCF advised DESSIGN on the sale of both companies.
The Deal
MCF was mandated by DESSIGN to find a new owner for both companies. As part of the preparation, MCF supported management in positioning both entities as one integrated healthcare service provider. This unique approach attracted high interest from both strategic and financial investors. MCF navigated its client throughout the entire process. With IQVIA, the company has found an ideal partner to further strengthen its market position and support geographical expansion in order to continue its growth journey.
For IQVIA, as the leading provider of data to the healthcare sector, the acquisition complements the service portfolio by offering solutions to identify potential challenges for OTC healthcare companies.
The Targets
Jäger Health Group is the leading German OTC healthcare marketing agency providing trade marketing (BTL), creations (ATL), digital marketing and brand strategies to its international healthcare blue-chip customer base.
Aposphäre is an educational training company providing product trainings to pharmacists and PTAs on behalf of pharmaceutical companies.
Together, the companies have a unique service offering based on proprietary data used to most efficiently influence the recommendation behaviour of healthcare influencers and ultimately the consumer.
