MCF advised Recover Nordic in the acquisition of WD Kuivaus Oy
MCF advised the shareholders of Recover Nordic (“Recover Nordic”), a leading Nordic damage control services company, on the acquisition of WD Kuivaus Oy (“WD Kuivaus”), a leading water damage restoration company in the Helsinki capital area, from its founders and employees.
The Deal
In 2013, Agilitas Private Equity acquired ISS Skadeservice, the Norwegian, Danish and Finnish damage control activities of ISS. The businesses were merged and subsequently rebranded Recover Nordic Group.
The expansion strategy of the group has been based on add-on acquisitions across the Nordic countries, and MCF has been working with the client on several opportunities both in Finland and in Sweden. Our first transaction with Recover Nordic was completed in 2015 when the damage control activities of Anticimex were acquired in Finland. The acquisition of WD Kuivaus offers an attractive strategic fit to Recover Nordic’s expansion strategy in the growing Helsinki market.
The Target
WD Kuivaus Oy specialises in water damage restoration. The company employs around 20 professionals with deep knowledge of the industry and receive about 5000 orders annually in its operating area.
