MCF advises the owners of Cykloteket in the sale of a majority stake to WeSports

Cykloteket Aktiebolag (“Cykloteket”), Sweden’s leading omnichannel bicycle retailer, has been acquired by We Commerce AB (“WeSports”). The deal will significantly strengthen both Cykloteket’s and WeSports’ position in the bicycle and MicroMobility market. MCF acted as adviser to the owners of Cykloteket and facilitated the transaction by leveraging its industry expertise and strong track-record of successfully supporting entrepreneurs in transitioning their business to new ownership. The transaction also marks yet another successful outcome within MCF’s new MicroMobility initiative.

The Deal

Cykloteket is one of Sweden’s leading bicycle specialist retailers, offering a wide range of products to customers across the country. Over the years, Cykloteket has actively contributed to the development of Swedish bicycle specialist retailers and the company was also among the first to establish an e-commerce bicycle retail platform. With this transaction and under WeSports’ ownership, Cykloteket will continue to execute on its ambitious growth plans and benefit from being a part of a leading specialist sports retailers.

The Target

Cykloteket is one of Sweden’s largest privately owned bicycle specialist and retailer with market leading consumer experience, an e-commerce store and seven specialist bike stores and workshops in the Stockholm and Västerås region.
