The Deal
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Leutenberg, Germany, Rameder is the leading European distributor of tow bars & wiring kits as well as carrier systems. The company offers products to B2B and B2C customers through its own online shops, as well as through online market places such as eBay and Amazon.
MCF established contact with the shareholders of Dragkrokslagret in 2018 and accompanied the process from the first contact to signing, facilitating the communication between buyer and seller. In this transaction, Rameder acquired a majority stake of Dragkrokslagret, with the founder remaining on board as shareholder and managing director, to jointly benefit from the expected growth in coming years.
Dragkrokslagret is experienced in tow bar installation, an area that Rameder is looking to expand into in the coming years. With its current three installation points in Sweden, Dragkrokslagret provides a good growth platform for Rameder and strengthens the company’s footprint in the Nordic region.
With the support of FSN, Rameder will continue to accelerate growth organically, as well as through M&A activities to further cement its market leading position in Europe.
The Target
Dragkrokslagret was founded in 2008 and is today a leading distributor of tow bars for passenger cars, offering a wide product range for the market. The company installs nearly half of the tow bars they sell and currently operates three installation points in Stockholm, Halmstad and Malmö.
